We provide lunch from the first day to lunch on the last day and all of the meals in between. We provide all the necessary eating utensils. You will need to bring a water bottle (at least 24 ounces or larger) and a drinking mug (for coffee, tea, coco, etc.).

On the one day rafting trip we provide a deli style lunch, water and lemonade, you need to bring a water bottle.

We get a lot of guests who have never taken an expedition like this before. We provide you with the necessary guidance to comfortably take a four or five day raft trip as a novice. If you are still hesitant to take a longer rafting excursion a scenic one day trip is a great starting place to see if you are interested in river trips.

On our multi-day river rafting trips we lead multiple hikes and side tours off the river. Depending on the groups interests, camp sites, weather, etc. your guides will determine the best options for exploration.

Both rivers are phenomenal trips and have their own highlights. The Green River is available for rafting all summer long. The Yampa River is determined by snow pack and is an early season river rafting trip from mid-May to mid/late June. Depending on your availability for a river trip either trip is worth taking you will not be disappointed.

The bathroom, or as your guides will call it, the “Groover,” is a portable river camp toilet system. This system is easy to setup, sanitary and is placed in a discrete and private location at each campsite with an incredible view. Your guides will give you details on how to use the “Groover” at your first night’s camp.

Your guides work exceptionally hard, and receiving a gratuity is graciously appreciated. An average tip is $25.00 to $35.00 per person per day on multi day trips. For one day raft trips an average tip is 20-25% of your groups total fare.

If you have special dietary requirements, we will do our best to accommodate them within the confines of this trip. Please keep in mind that we do have limitations on space and refrigeration aboard the rafts. For this reason, we cannot always meet the needs of everyone. In our welcome aboard packet, you will receive a guest registration form asking you about your dietary needs. Please fill this form out completely and return it in a timely manner.

There are multiple opportunities to fish along our 4 and 5 day raft trips. Most of the fishing along the trip will be best with lures or bait. Most commonly caught fish are catfish, occasionally trout or some of the native fish. Jones Hole Creek is a blue ribbon trout stream which you might stop at for a 2 to 3 hour day hike or overnight camp. This is excellent fly fishing. For the first 2 or 3 days of your trip you will need a Colorado fishing license, for the 3rd or 4th day you will need a Utah license. This depends on the overall length of your trip. Due to the length and nature of our one day raft trip we do not recommend fishing. There just is not enough time.

Yes, yes, yes. We get asked often if rain gear is necessary on a desert river. We say yes, decent quality rain gear will make a big difference in your comfort if wet weather happens on your trip. You may not use the rain pants and jacket on your trip. But if it did rain you would be comfortable.

Our guide staff is highly experienced and have obtained the necessary certifications and training’s to guide river rafting trips in a wilderness setting. All of our guides carry at least basic first aid and CPR certifications and are licensed with the State of Utah.

River trips take place in rugged and wild terrain, because of the nature of these environments there are inherent risks. We take necessary precautions to mitigate the chance of injury but there is real risk involved in white water rafting. By signing the acknowledgment/release form you are representing that you are accepting of this risk. In case of a medical emergency or evacuation it is your responsibility to carry insurance, or be prepared to cover the cost for expenses related to emergency evacuations for medical or other reasons for yourself or family.

All of our trips provide you with the necessary safety equipment such as life jackets and helmets where applicable. Each of our trips carries a full stocked first aid kit, river rescue equipment, a plan for initiating an evacuation and boat repair kits.

Rafting trips are excellent for kids. We have great options for youth 5 years of age and older. Depending on the length of trip, time of year and what type of experience you are looking for you we can help you choose a great family adventure.
